Summary
These are Nao Tsukiji's debut stories compiled in one collection. 1-2. "Golden Knight" (Kiniro Kishi) Shiro, a police officer, is abruptly transferred to a small village where his job entails capturing runaway horses or rescuing grandmothers out of ponds. 3-4. "Bell Guard Princess" (Kanamori Hime) Anzu is a bell guard whose duty is to alert the villagers when barbarians attack. However, when a real barbarian arrives in the village, Anzu must confront her preconceptions and biases towards these supposedly timid people. 5. "The Maiden Buried in Goods" (Zakka ni Umoreta Otome) A young woman is in search of the perfect gift for the man she loves.
