Summary
After being forced out of her previous job because of her master's sexual harassment, Lucille finds a new position as a housekeeper for Phyllis, a mysterious and antisocial wizard who lives alone in the forest. At first, Phyllis seems difficult to understand, but Lucille gradually discovers that she enjoys taking care of his home and learning about his unusual way of life. Their quiet life together slowly brings warmth and companionship to both of them. What begins as an employer–housekeeper relationship gradually develops into a gentle, slow-burn romance, with magic, animals, everyday life, and emotional healing playing important roles.
