SERIES 8: Jojolion This is the 8th installment of the Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken saga -- an alternative take on Diamond wa Kudakenai (Part 4).

Parts I to V: (Volumes 001 to 063) An epic horror-action-adventure! Once there was a mighty bloodline of heroes: the Joestars. In the 1880s, Englishman Jonathan Joestar gave his life to defeat Dio, a megalomaniacal vampire. Now, 100 years later, Dio is back, and Jonathan's descendants must travel to Egypt to destroy their ancestral enemy once and for all. On one side: Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo ("JoJo" for short)...a globetrotting martial artist and his delinquent Japanese-English grandson. On the other side: a vampire and an army of murderers possessed by evil spirits, the monstrous "Stands". But Jotaro and Joseph have "Stands" too...and the stage is set for a terrifying battle as the heroes fight their way around the world! Adapted into anime, action figures and video games, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the weirdest, most influential Jump manga ever! Part VI: (Volumes 064 to 080) Time: Early 21st Century -- Place: A Florida prison Set in and around the maximum-security Green Dolphin Street prison in Florida, surrounded by palm trees, swamps, and man-eating alligators, this storyline stars Jolyne Cujoh (Stand: Stone Free), the daughter of Jotaro Cujoh. After being falsely accused of a hit-and-run automobile accident, she is sentenced to 15 years in jail, a plot which may be orchestrated by some dark conspiracy, some unknown enemy. Series 6 is a weird prison story in which Jolyne discovers her own powers and other Stand Users while trying to escape the pen. Her dad Jotaro Cujoh returns for a cameo in the first few volumes, and Dio, the ultra-villain of the JoJo series, also shows up in several flashbacks, with a fragment of his corpse playing a major plot point. This series appears to be an attempt for Araki to relaunch the series for new readers (the graphic novels are numbered starting with "Vol. 1" with "JoJo Vol. 63", and so forth, in small letters) by re-explaining the Stands and introducing a slinky, appealing female protagonist. And for the most part, it takes place within a literally confined environment -- Araki had previously done some short manga stories set in jail, so maybe that's where his current interests lie. Note also that Jolyne is the first American (specifically Japanese-American) JoJo protagonist. The sheer level of weirdness is also pretty mind-boggling, with all kinds of bizarre phenomena -- rains of frogs, time distortion, and some extremely odd, conceptual Stands. And the ending is probably one of the strangest things ever to happen in the series. Part VII: (Volumes 081+) Going under the name Steel Ball Run it started out as a separate manga series but later became Part VII to JoJo, this installment takes place in the wild west in 1890 (about the same time period as the first arc of JoJo). Major noticeable difference's from the previous 6 parts of JoJo is that the manga doesn't bear the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure title and the main character's name cannot be shortened to JoJo but rather a supporting character's name can.

The year is 2019 in Puerto Larraín, Chile. Glass Lariats follows the story of Josefina Torres, a 17 year old teenager, on her adventure to find her sister who was kidnapped for unknown reasons. During her adventure, Josefina will fight to learn about her family history and unveil the mystery behind the man who appears in her dreams.

First story arc of JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken series. Jonathan Joestar, a young wealthy son living in Victorian England, has his life destroyed by a recently orphaned Dio Brando, who was taken in by Jonathan's father. Dio, who plots to drive Jonathan to insanity and inherit the Joestar fortune, becomes an unstoppable vampire that Jonathan must fight.

While the gold rush takes Europe by storm, a young Jonathan Joestar lives a life of luxury with his father at their estate in Liverpool, England. Jonathan, known by his peers as JoJo, spends his days playing the part of a gentleman and living a carefree life. However, those peaceful days soon came to an end when Dio Brando intrudes upon him. Dio is a young boy from London who is adopted into the Joestar family due to a debt Jonathan's father owed to Dio's father. While Jonathan is receptive towards having a new brother, Dio schemes against the Joestars in order to inherit the fortune. As Dio's schemes get out of hand, Jonathan is forced to confront him once and for all. Thus begins the story of the Joestar bloodline, as Jonathan matures with and eventually combats his adoptive brother while encountering bizarre new friends and foes.

America, 1938. Robert E. O. Speedwagon, his foundation, and Straits venture to Mexico to gather more information about the enigmatic Stone Masks. While excavating the ruins, Speedwagon's men are slaughtered by Strait's sudden betrayal and his lust for power, putting Speedwagon in grave danger. Meanwhile, at the behest of their ally Speedwagon, Joseph Joestar and his grandmother Erina Pendleton have moved to New York City from London. In this new environment, trouble is always around the corner for the hotheaded man, as cultural differences and stubborn citizens spark frequent fights. However, through the power of his "Ripple"—an ability said to be inherited from his grandfather Jonathan Joestar—he defeats foes effortlessly. One night at a downtown Italian restaurant, Joseph and Erina are provoked when an enormous man across their table taunts them. A proper gentleman from the same table apologizes and informs the two of a disturbing rumor: Speedwagon has been murdered. With an uncertain future, Joseph's bizarre adventure begins, meeting like-minded yet brawny individuals and unearthing remote mysteries along the way.

In 1989, Joseph Joestar arrives in Japan to meet his troubled grandson Joutarou Kuujou at the request of his daughter Holly. Joutarou has locked himself in a jail cell out of fear that an evil spirit is possessing him and that he may cause harm to others. However, Joseph reveals the truth to Joutarou: this "spirit" is really a "Stand," a physical manifestation of one's fighting spirit. What's more, Joseph and his companion Mohammed Avdol possess Stands of their own and have learned to control them with ease. Joseph's arrival comes with another piece of news: an old family enemy has returned from the grave, causing the Stands of the Joestar family to awaken. However, when a Stand manifests within Holly, her inability to cope with it leaves her gravely ill, stirring the men into action. Armed with the power of Stands, a globe-trotting adventure from Japan to Egypt—where their adversary resides—begins. Meeting an array of nefarious Stand users along the way, as well as new allies, the team leads a crusade to save Holly and put an end to their enemy for good.

Regrettably, his corporeal being is not his alone, under the control of an overpowering presence.
