Fortune Arterial's story revolves around the male protagonist Kohei Hasekura, who transfers into a prestigious public school in the style of an English six-year school encompassing junior-high and high school students. The school, named Shuchikan Academy, is on an island named Tamatsu Island off-shore from mainland Japan, and the only way to get there is by boat. On the first day of high school, Haruhi Suzumiya make an announcement that stunned everyone: "I don't have any interest in ordinary people. If anyone here is an alien, time traveler, slider, or esper, please, come see me! That is all." Kyon, a totally normal human who happens to have the misfortune of sitting at the desk in front of Haruhi's, wondered at first if she was joking. But Haruhi Suzumiya is always serious. Always. Other members of the club include Nagato Yuki, a quiet, bookish girl; Mikuru Asahina, an all-too adorable girl chosen by Haruhi to be the club's "mascot"; and Koizumi Itsuki, an always-smiling boy chosen by Haruhi to play the role of "mysterious transfer student". A rather morbid, sombre manga about two high school students, Kamiyama Itsuki and Morino Yoru, who have a peculiar interest in deaths and especially in murders that are committed near to them. Due to their strong fascination with murder and highly-developed analytical skills(along with some luck), they manage to solve the murders that have even eluded the authorities. However, acting on their own sense of justice and in self-interest, the murderers are often able to escape with the murders that they have committed. Often, it is Kamiyama that solves the cases even to the most subtle of details, but he is only interested in one thing, and that is the method to which Yoru Morino should be killed.
Satsuki Yumizuka, Sion Eltnam Altasia and Riesbyfe Stridberg are outcasts of society, living in the alley, hidden from public eyes. Satsuki and Sion are both vampires and together with Ries, they have been living aimlessly after the events of Tatari. Sion decides to build a robot to help construct decent living quarters for them, but something goes horribly wrong and the robot ends up making a 100 meter pyramid in the middle of the city. Thinking there might be foul play, the trio investigate the pyramid and get things under control. Based on the Tsukihime and Melty Blood games, you will be introduced to other familiar characters like Kohaku and Akiha.
