Satoru spends his days listlessly in a factory town. The old man Segawa, a former Yakuza, lives in the room next to his cheap apartment. One day, Segawa tells Satoru, "I'll give you 5 million yen to put me out of my misery." Satoru hesitates, and Segawa sees through to the madness eating away inside him and begins to have a change of heart, and yet...!? A story of the filth of society and the dark path that Satoru takes -- on the edge of sanity -- with a gun and 5 million yen.

The story follows a half-man, half-beast mercenary; humans mockingly call his kind the "fallen beasts". He always dreamt of becoming a human, but one day, he met a witch who would change his life forever. "Do you desire a human form? Then be my escort, mercenary!" The witch introduced herself as "Zero", and explained that she was searching for a one-of-a-kind magical tome that bandits had stolen from her lair. Entitled "The Book of Zero", the grimoire supposedly contained valuable magical knowledge that could be used to effortlessly bring the world to its knees. Thus, in order to realize his dream of becoming a human, the mercenary must accompany Zero on her journey despite her being one of the witches he so loathed.

She mostly dresses like a boy and is often mistaken as one. However, she has to wear a skirt and imagine being dominated by a guy in order to masturbate. Her friends have no idea of her sexual habits and believe her to be sweet and sheltered. Aiba Kaito is a pretty good-looking guy, but he wants to be Nagao Mikako. He often dresses as a girl, picking out clothes that mimic Mikako's style. Though he's into cross-dressing, he is still attracted to women. Will these young adults and their friends be able to handle their 'guilty secrets' and muddle their way through this confusing period of their lives?
