A promised past and returning where one belongs. The underwater theme park, LeMU. Takeshi Kuranari, one of the park guests, is suddenly involved in a freak accident. And he finds himself stuck in LeMU with a number of other survivors. Because of the system's failure, the water pressure will slowly crush the facility. The time limit till implosion is 170 hours and 17 minutes. Will they be able to escape to the surface!?

The story set in the contemporary South Korea. Some 30 years ago, unidentified creatures appeared out of nowhere and have attacked people. They have caused massive destruction wherever they go. The monsters are called "Trouble", and get the world have fallen into chaos. Along with the first appearance of the "Troubles", some number of humans were born with or acquired supernatural abilities. These mutants called "Trace" are the only ones who can fight off the "Trouble". In a universe where men and women are mortal enemies, Hibiki is captured by a band of female pirates. The group find themselves stranded with a super ship they dub the Nirvana and set out for the female home planet. The manga differs greatly from the anime, with fewer characters and focusing more on the relationship between Dita and Hibiki. The second volume is a completely original story arc introducing a "black vandread" and its mysterious pilot.

The organization orders him to visit Hirasawa's island hideout and bring the specimen -- now a partially-matured Archetype named Kiya whose outward appearance is that of an adolescent boy -- back to them.

Kuuki no Soko is a collection of short stories drawn by the genial writer between 1971 and 1972, is known in Japan as a true masterpiece. Belonging to the most mature Tezuka's period, it touches many genres: from pure science fiction to the Nazi era. We find stories of spying, lawsuits against animal testing as far as stories about the more complex dynamics of the human mind. And the human mind is the leitmotif of the entire volume, namely the duality present in every one of us, and then, mercy, love, understanding, living with the cruelty and violence until somenthing happen in our mind and we discover a side of us unknown to ourselves ... and we are not always adequately prepared to reagins ...
