In the past, Earth was governed by a sophisticated civilization. Despite their advanced technology, they eventually met their demise because of their misuse of their innovations. Before their downfall, they left behind message plates in an ancient language as a communication for those in future times. Numerous militant groups covertly hunted for these artifacts, hoping to exploit them for their own advantage and against their adversaries. ARCAM Corporation's mission is to prevent these factions from self-destruction by utilizing these "innovative" machines. Protagonist Yu Ominae is amongst ARCAM's elite operatives who operate under the codename Spriggans.
