Since childhood, Anís Yamamoto has donned a chic black choker with a silver rose which, unbeknownst to her, is a talisman gifted by her father. However, now that she's a freshman at Shoubi Academy, she considers the adornment more of a burden than a charm. Despite her countless attempts, she is unable to disengage it from her neck, drawing unwanted attention from her peers. In the process, she uncovers her true identity as the Rose Princess, responsible for presiding over the four Rose Knights; Kaede Higa, the Red Rose with offensive capabilities, Mitsuru Tenjou, the White Rose with defensive abilities, Seiran Asagi, the Blue Rose whose forte lies in alchemy, and Mutsuki Kurama, the Black Rose who specializes in discovery. All four boys are extremely popular amongst their peers, and through a kiss on their assigned cards, Anís can summon their magical prowess whenever required.

Meanwhile, the great elven sage Sajuel, who had been asleep for 700 years in preparation for the return of the Demon King, wakes up. However, the Demon King was resurrected and defeated 40 years ago. Sajuel is shocked to learn this, but he lends his wisdom to the Magical Beast Control Division and begins investigating with Kamishima and the others. A fantasy of magic and police unfolds.
