The narrative revolves around Akane, an ordinary high school student who inexplicably finds herself transported to ancient Japan's Heian period in Kyoto. Upon arrival, she realizes that she has been fated to become the Ryuujin no Miko, the Priestess of the Dragon God. However, her mission for time-traveling becomes uncertain as Akram, the leader of the Oni Clan and her adversary, seeks to annihilate Kyoto. In order to safeguard her, Akane is accompanied by a group of eight male defenders known as the Hachiyou (Eight Leaves). Will they manage to shield her from harm?
